We specialise in teaching and nurturing the progress of adult singles and couples by showing them the fun and excitement of learning to latin, ballroom and street latin dancing.

What does the role involve?

• Teaching beginners, intermediate and advanced 
• Constantly updating your dance knowledge and selling skills
• Arranging and maintaining your student bookings
• Dancing with students at social dancing events while making sure everyone is dancing on the dance floor
• Preparing students for competitions and try-outs
• Preparing students for upcoming dancing exams
• Being a motivating and encouraging dancing role model
• Converting new customers into long-term students with a passion for dance!

Full time salary starts at 30k base (usually a full time teacher in first year would earn 45k including bonuses), and can progress up to 60k if strong student base is built up (achievable in 2-3 years for motivated staff) plus superannuation. Experienced ballroom dance teachers can negotiate starting salary, and would progress to full salary sooner.

These positions are only for highly motivated teachers. There is an initial interview, assessment and then training for 0-5 months (depending on experience and ability) after which teachers start teaching their own students. Teachers usually teach casual or part time, and then move to full time positions within 6-12 months when they have demonstrated and continuorly worked on their ability.

*The following skills would be an advantage but are not at all necessary as full training will be provided for the right people

• Dance experience (any style)
• Any type of coaching experience
• Service or sales background
• Organisation skills
• Public Speaking
